MALATYA. According to current forecasts, the hailstorms of recent weeks have not caused too much damage in the apricot-growing regions, although damage assessments are not yet complete. The focus is already entirely on the new crop.

Damage is limited

Rain and snowfall were recorded in eastern Turkey last weekend. According to the weather forecast, night-time temperatures are currently between 5 and 9°C, while daytime temperatures are reaching 14 to 23°C. More rain is expected before temperatures rise towards the end of the week. Apart from hailstorms in some areas, no major problems have been reported; damage assessments are still ongoing.
