AYDIN. Despite the high prices, buying interest in Turkish dried figs has increased significantly, also to the surprise of traders. Exports are also finally picking up.

Goods are becoming scarce

Interesting developments have taken place on the Turkish dried fig market since last week. Although prices are still very high, traders' concerns that they would not be able to sell the goods to buyers have proved unfounded. On the contrary, Turkish market players report that demand from export markets has picked up significantly and the market has become much more dynamic again.
