Dried figs: global production up by 21%

AYDIN. According to the latest INC report, around 21% more dried figs were produced in the 2025/2026 season than in the previous year. Speculative trading is driving up commodity prices in Turkey.

Significant increase in Turkish production

Dried fig production in 2025 was significantly higher than last year. As reported by the International Nut and Dried Fruit Council in its latest report, global production totalled 166,800 mt, an increase of 21% over the previous year. Turkey is said to have produced 80,000 mt of dried figs this year, which is around 14% more than initially expected and a full third above last year's level.
