Dried figs: new season starts in about two weeks

AYDIN/TEHRAN. Export prices for dried figs from this year’s crop are still not available. However, the start date for the 2026/2027 export season has been announced. In Iran, the harvest results are satisfactory.

Export prices still not available

In the Turkish province of Aydin, the weather remains hot and dry for the time being, with daytime temperatures of 37-40°C. It is set to get even warmer, particularly towards the end of this week. While this is beneficial for the drying process, market players remain cautiously optimistic, as rapid changes in the weather can still affect quality and encourage mould growth.
