Dried figs: surge in exports to China

AYDIN. This season's attractive prices have prompted a sharp rise in exports from Turkey. Prices, however, vary considerably depending on supplier.

Total export volume rises by 19%

Turkey has shipped as much as 36,247 metric tonnes worth USD 139.9 million of dried figs and dried fig products overseas since the start of the season. The export volume has thereby risen by 19% and export revenues by 8% over last year. Germany is the most important export destination as shipments have risen by 22% to 4,593 metric tonnes.
