Market Analysis

China:

Today, the flaxseed prices are stable generally. The sales is just so so. According to customs data, in the month of July, 2017, China imported 36,484.3 tons flaxseed, in which 32,849.5 tons from Canada, 2,358.2 tons from Russia,1,251.1 tons from USA and 25.5 tons from France. China exports 421.4 tons. And most of the flaxseed are exported to Holland with the quantity of 245.0 tons, to Germany 76.0 tons, to New Zealand 49.0 tons. By July 31, China's flaxseed importing volume hit 205,415.1 tons while exported 2,979.8 tons. From September 9 to September 15, 2017, about 8,707 tons of flaxseed by container have arrived to Tianjin Port . It sold about 4,710 tons of cargoes over there and by September 15,it left about 90,000 tons in stock.

Overseas:

Canada No.1 container cargoes are quoted at CNF495 --510USD/MT for 2017 October shipment. The price is stable generally. There is no much transaction. Even though the new season flaxseed harvest in Canada has not been finished. There is still much inventory at China port. China is its main exporting country. The exporting quantity at the beginning of 2017/2018 has been more than that in the last year. It is very clear that it has a trend to be increased stably. At the beginning weeks, the flaxseed is mainly exported to European market and China market. The flaxseed businessmen estimate that in the next half year the price is likely to be increased further.

The quotation overseas is higher and it is stable at the port, the sales is just so so. The market situation within one week in China is: from Monday to Friday overseas higher and China stable with a sight down.
