Flaxseed: Kazakhstan plans cultivation increase

NUR-SULTAN/OTTAWA. The Kazakh Grain Union (KGU) expects a rise in cultivation this year. At the same time, Kazakhstan's flaxseed exports during the first seven months of this season have so far failed to match last year's result.

Up to 1.40 million ha of flaxseed

The Kazakh Grain Union (KGU) expects Kazakhstan farmers to sow about 1.38-1.40 million hectares with flaxseed this year, which would represent a significant increase over last year.
