NUR-SULTAN. After factories in Poland had stopped buying farmgate goods in Kazakhstan in recent weeks due to the high prices, the first companies are now buying again. Meanwhile, traders are concluding future contracts with farmers.

High price level remains

As market players report, Polish companies have resumed buying Kazakh farmgate goods. After prices had reached astronomical heights in recent weeks due to the spread of the coronavirus and extreme snowfall in Kazakhstan, Polish traders had initially quit the purchases. However, they have set a price limit on their current purchases and buyers are not willing to pay more than EUR 550 per metric tonne FCA Kazakhstan for yellow flaxseed with a 98% purity. The prices for Kazakh flaxseed remain at a very high level.
