BRUSSELS. Snow is offering protection for wheat. Brazil may produce more corn, but the story is different for exports. US soybean crushing figures are still impressive. Canada is exporting more canola to the EU.

Snow protects wheat

Wheat quotations fell after protective snow and higher temperatures reduced the risk of frost in the USA, Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. At 14.85 million mt US exports range 22% higher than last year. In Russia an export quota for grain of 10.6 million mt will persist until June. Rusagrotrans has stated that Russian exporters will only be able to ship 8.1 million mt of wheat by the end of the season.
