Hazelnuts: Ferrero announces new bids

ORDU. After weeks of speculation Ferrero has announced new bids for hazelnut kernels. Question is how the market will respond. Prices have taken a sharp turn. Exporters find themselves in a challenging economic situation.

How will the market react?

On Thursday, Ferrero issued prices for a new round of buying on the purchasing portal. As the news is very fresh, volumes have not been officially announced yet. While the confectionary giant most recently purchased inshell hazelnuts in November, the current bids are for kernels. Suppliers will receive a premium for kernels in A and B quality and a deduction for kernels in D quality.
