KYIV/DALIAN. Ukrainian farmers have harvested around 60% less millet than at this time last year. Shipments to the EU have also fallen by 24%.

Moderate demand in China

After the Chinese National Day week at the beginning of October, millet prices have fallen noticeably. Many exporters currently have sufficient stocks, which also means that processing companies are buying less raw materials as demand is lower. If processors and exporters maintain their restraint in purchasing until the end of October, a further moderate decline in prices is to be expected.

Hulled millet is currently trading at USD 880/mt FOB Dalian, while organic millet is being offered at USD 970/mt FOB Dalian.
