DALIAN. Demand in the Chinese pumpkin seed market is so low that even traders are alarmed. At present, the outlook for the rest of the year is rather pessimistic, as various factors militate against an increase in buying interest.

Higher demand only in the new year?

More and more goods from the new Chinese crop are reaching the market and in most regions the harvesting process has now been completed. However, the situation is anything but rosy and market players are downright shocked by the weak demand. "The situation is even much worse than our original forecast," reports one trader.
