BEIJING. The Chinese market GWS kernels is still going crazy. With the raw material stocks sold off and the remaining positions in the hands of the suppliers, they have all the freedom to speculate with prices and push them up.

According to market players, an estimated 4,000-5,000 mt of GWS kernels are stored in public warehouses. However, there is currently no willingness or need for traders to sell. It can be reckoned that they will test the acceptance of the buying side in the coming weeks and months and that prices will continue to rise for the time being. Pumpkin seeds, GWS, grade AA cost USD 200/mt more than last week and are at USD 4,740/mt CFR EMP this week.

Buyers might switch to shine skins
