DALIAN. There is hardly any trading activity on the Chinese pumpkin seed market at the moment, partly because there are hardly any raw materials available. However, sowing for the new crop is largely completed and shows a very mixed picture.

Export prices slightly lower

Export prices on the Chinese pumpkin seed market have fallen slightly in recent weeks and market experts do not expect any major changes in the next two weeks. There is hardly any demand, partly because there are almost no raw materials left and the remaining supplies are almost exclusively in the hands of speculators. These will almost certainly try to drive up the market price of pumpkin seeds in June and July, as this is usually the time when buying interest picks up within China.
