DALIAN. The current demand situation in the Chinese pumpkin seed market is not rosy, and market players report that consumption in China is declining and producers are struggling to cope. Meanwhile, sowing for the new crop has been completed.

Hardly any buying interest

Commodity prices on the Chinese pumpkin seed market are currently holding steady, as demand from both domestic and overseas markets has been very lacklustre in recent weeks. Speculators, who hold much of the remaining commodity, are starting to get nervous because of the uncertain situation, but they have not yet given up hope that at least domestic demand will pick up in June and July.
