Nigeria Market Information:
Nigeria currency becomes stronger than last week by 3% to 4% due to that Dollars price remain same as local market has reduced and gone down by 3% to 4%. There is no demand from China at higher prices and also other countries. Market is stable. People are expecting the prices should be stable and it can go down further little. There is demand at lower prices from china.
TOGO/MALI/Burkina Market Information:
Market is stable overall. Not much movement at TOGO/Mali.
Ethiopia Market Information:
There is no demand from china for Ethiopian cargo at this level. Ethiopian exporters are giving lower prices for the non-China demand. They are offering 1200 US$ for china trade and non-China trade they are offering US$1130 per mt because they can get dollars for their imports and other purposes.
Sudan Market information:
Market has come down due to no demand. Prices have come down and now stable.
Somalia Market information:
Market is stable over all.
Bangladesh Market information:
Market is has come down due to no demand of local consumption for oil as well as not much demand from china and neighboring countries. Prices are down little and stable.
Indian Sesame Seeds:
Market is stable at the moment. New summer crop is arriving to the market and the estimated crop production will be about 25000 mt. which is little more than last year. If there will be not much demand which will leads to sustain prices in India. Prices will go further down if the demand will not be there for Indian cargo.
Since last 3 to 4 years imports of sesame to India is increasing day by day. Last year 2016-17 import of Sesame seeds in India as increased from 25000 to 45000 mt. which shows that Indian will be importing countries in coming days. India mainly imports sesame to process further and re-exports to other countries by value addition.
Tanzania/Mozambique:
New crop estimation has comes to the market. There is good rain in the growing areas. There will be good crop this year as per the estimation of some of the traders and exporters. There was a conference for sesame seeds in china during 9th to 12th April and in that conference people have started offering at 1100 to 1200 dollars range for the Tanzanian and Mozambique sesame seeds.
