Sesame seeds: Prices may start to rise

NEW DELHI. Although the Indian sesame market was presumed to be dead, it could come back to life – there is a new call for tenders from Korea.

The June tender

Korean sesame seed importers will soon be looking for sesame seeds again. Offers will be accepted starting on Thursday, 15.06.2017, and the closing date is 19.06.2017. Deliveries from Asian countries are expected in Korea by 21.08.2017, African exporters must deliver by 19.09.2017 at the latest.

Price increase expected

After several unspectacular weeks on the Indian sesame market, some suppliers are still maintaining the low price level. Traders who no longer have enough reserves but want to participate in the call for tenders must stock up soon before prices rise. As a result, purchase prices will probably also increase for European buyers.
