Sesame seeds: new tender in early December

NEW DELHI. Contrary to expectations, there is to be another sesame seed tender this year, announced for early December. Rain damage, meanwhile, should ensure that prices for Indian sesame seeds firm up.

Demand causes price adjustments

Rain has damaged the sesame plants in Gujarat, which has temporarily paralysed the purchasing activities of traders and processors and has forced them to buy sesame seeds from other Indian growing states.
