Cumin

The drastic price falls on the Indian cumin market are continuing. While the product was still a top seller last year, prices have decreased by almost 50% in the past six months and market players expect this trend to continue. Arrivals of the new crop will pick up noticeably by mid-April, which will put additional pressure on prices. Surprisingly, export sales are also not picking up despite the favourable prices. Grade A cumin costs USD 3,870/mt FOB India this week.
