MANISA. Turkish sultana farmers are expected to complete the drying period shortly. Buyers and traders are showing cautious interest in purchasing. Exports are significantly below last year's level.

Production to be completed shortly

The drying period is slowly coming to an end in the Turkish province of Manisa. After unexpected rain showers around ten days ago, the weather is now expected to remain dry for the time being, so that farmers should be able to complete this process without further incidents. It is still warm and summery, but the weather is expected to cool down somewhat towards the end of the week. Daytime temperatures of 29-36°C are expected in the course of this week.
