MANISA. Last weekend, Turkey experienced a sudden drop in temperature across the country. Demand remains low. President Erdoğan announced that the Eid al-Adha celebrations will be extended to nine days.

A blessing in disguise

A sudden drop in temperature shook the Turkish agricultural sector last weekend, and fears of frost damage were rife following a warning from the Turkish Meteorological Service. Indeed, there was rainfall over the weekend and even snowfall at higher altitudes, but fortunately the feared damage did not materialise.
