Sultanas: supply surge expected at season start

MANISA. To avoid losses in quality and yield, Turkish sultana growers must hurry with the harvest despite delays. Sultana exports are set to rise once again by the end of the 2025/2026 season. Meanwhile, the first table grapes from the 2026 crop have already been shipped overseas.

Growers must step up the pace

Following a comparatively cool weekend with localised rain showers, Manisa is starting the new week with significantly higher temperatures, which are set to persist into the new month. Daytime temperatures are expected to reach 35-39°C, cooling down again to 20-25 °C at night. Temperatures are forecast to drop again towards the end of the week.
