Market update

The outlook is rather promising and a production of 1.7-1.9 M mt is to be expected. No noticeable impact appears to have been produced by the storm at the beginning of June.

This optimistic mood is reflected by the farmgate prices for black in shell sunflower kernels, which have dropped by 2.5% to 304 EUR/mt CPT Varna since last week.

Last year’s Bakery remain at a stable level of 630 EUR/mt FCA Bulgaria. Many processors are using the summer break for maintenance work and cleaning.

New crop Bakery are still trading for a stable 680 EUR/kg DDP Germany in Bulgaria. DDP prices in Moldova are still slightly cheaper at 660 EUR/kg.
