SANTIAGO. Chile’s walnut exports have bounced back this season. Turkey is the leading export destination for inshell walnuts. Europe is hungry for shelled walnuts.

Not quite as good as 2023

Chile’s exports have surged by 20% for inshell walnuts and by 35% for shelled walnuts in the first three months of the season. Monthly exports also ranged 12% higher for inshell walnuts in June 2025 than in June 2024 and 8% higher for shelled walnuts. Although shipments have bounced back this season, the charts presented by ChileNut, however, also show that inshell shipments are lagging far behind 2023.
