Almonds: good crop expectations in Australia

CANBERRA/MADRID. The almond harvest is starting in Australia and so far experts are expecting another record crop. Exports for the 2021/22 season also increased significantly, mainly due to one certain country.

In Spain and California, the market is watching the weather and the associated conditions for the development of this year's flowering. Meanwhile, in Australia, the harvest season starts this month and can usually last until June. Here, conditions for nut development were good, with abundant rainfall during the winter and spring periods replenishing water resources.
