MADRID/SACRAMENTO. The weather conditions were ideal for pollination in Spain. Frost may, nevertheless, still have an impact on production.

Spanish almonds are stable

In their latest update, the experts from TIOGA Trade and Services report good conditions during the flowering in February. The low precipitation rate should has had a positive impact on pollination. Night frosts may, however, still occur until mid-April,. Much will depend on developments in the coming weeks. Spanish almonds are trading in astable range. Organic almonds are basically sold out with reference prices ranging at EUR 4.50 per kg higher than for conventional Valencia almonds. US almonds are, however, trading higher again.
