MALATYA. The first official offers for dried apricots from Turkey will already be available on the market in the next few days.

Market players see the prices at least 100-200 USD/mt below the current level, and depending on the purchase volume, even lower prices can be negotiated. Offers for prompt deliveries are maintaining the same level as in the last few weeks at 2,700-2,950 USD/mt FOB Mersin.

About 140,000 mt of dried apricots should be produced in Turkey this year. For this reason, buyers prefer to conclude short-term contracts, to still be able to profit from price reductions later on.
