Since the beginning of the season more than 81,000 mt have been exported. Traders report that only a few tons of organic apricots are still available, and the new season's production is not expected to be that big. A trader explained that the effort required by farmers to produce dried organic apricots is hardly worthwhile, so that they rather settle for what they can earn with growing conventional apricots.
