CHRUDIM. The unofficial production estimates of market players are still more than satisfactory. However, the quality of the crop is said to have some shortcomings.

Sufficient goods available

Czech blue poppy seed traders are currently satisfied with the new season. The Czech Statistical Office estimates the 2024 poppy crop at a total of 27,500 mt, which corresponds to an increase of more than 50% compared to last year. Unofficial estimates by market players are now even talking about 28,000-30,000 mt.
