Blue poppy seeds: port clearances are running smoothly

CHRUDIM/ANKARA. Blue poppy seed traders are reporting very low demand for new contracts. Most customers are more interested in receiving their shipments from existing contracts.

Prices decline further

Sowing is continuing in the Czech Republic. Although demand is largely subdued for new contracts, traders are keeping their heads above water by handling shipments for existing contracts. The blue poppy seed market has been largely volatile in the Czech Repblic over the last few weeks and prices now range at EUR 2.725 per kg FCA Czech Republic.
