Buckwheat: Germany increases imports massively

KYIV/DALIAN. The harvest in Ukraine is progressing well and 14% of the acreage have been harvested so far. Meanwhile, Germany increased its buckwheat imports by a whopping 130% in June 2023.

19,800 ha have been harvested

The buckwheat harvest in Ukraine has started is progressing well. So far, 19,800 ha of the sown area have been harvested, which is 14% of the acreage. Thanks to an average yield of 1.4 mt/ha, this brings production to 27,700 mt at this point.
