Butter: Demand revives

FRANKFURT. The pre-Christmas sales for packet butter are still running smoothly in Germany. Meanwhile, the offers for bulk butter are turning out to be rather heterogeneous.

 

Bottom line is in sight

Pre-Christmas sales for packet butter are highly satisfying and have heavily increased throughout the first half of December. Retailers will certainly continue to buy large volumes until the middle of next week, after which demand should be largely subdued. The prices for packet butter remain largely unchanged at 4.64-4.74 EUR/kg, depending on supplier and are expected to do so until the end of the year.
