FRANKFURT/LODZ. After the unexpected price slump for bulk butter in Germany, market analysts have now regained some confidence again. In addition, it should be noted that Christmas is drawing near.

Further price drops in Germany

In November, the food retailers, notably the discounters Norma and Aldi, have gone down in price for butter in 250g packs. Aldi is even charging 5% less. This has promoted demand. With Christmas drawing near demand is expected to further revive.

Although the prices for bulk butter have once again dropped, market observers have become more optimistic. Extreme low-price offers are no longer available, and the market is confident that the low point is now slowly been touched. Prices are lower than in Poland. Trading
