FRANKFURT/BRUSSELS. While the market in Germany is witnessing a slow but sure revival, the EU Commission reports a further decline in prices.

Buyers and sellers still do not agree in Germany

With the summer break ending in more and more parts of Germany, market activities are reviving. Sales for table butter in 250 g packets are up, but prices nevertheless remain firm at EUR 3.34-3.42 per kg at the butter and cheese exchange in Kempten. The market situation for bulk butter continues to be difficult with prices remaining fixed at EUR 3.55 per kg ex works Germany.
