Chickpeas: Canada awaits crop results

NEW DELHI/OTTAWA. Now that the harvest in Canada has been completed, the market is eagerly awaiting the crop volume and quality of this year's chickpeas. In India, prices have continued to rise; this could soon come to an end.

High prices, but weak demand

After several months of volatile chickpea prices in India, there seems to be no end to the price increases.
