Chickpeas: sowing delayed in Canada NEW DELHI/OTTAWA. Prices on the chickpea market are currently remaining largely stable in both India and Canada – though this could change soon. Growers are keeping a close eye on the weather, as there have already been some delays in sowing.

Temporary price declines

Prices for chickpeas initially fell slightly following a previous rise, but have since recovered. Market players view the decline as temporary, as supply in the producing regions remains limited and international prices remain firm. Earlier export purchases had further reduced available stocks in some markets.
