NEW DELHI/OTTAWA. Buyers in India are quick to act as soon as chickpeas become available. Issue is that stocks are running low. Activities are less dynamic in Canada.

Low supplies persist

Buyers can hardly act faster in India, as soon as an offer has been issued volumes are immediately sold. The current supply squeeze is prompting buyers to seize any opportunities that present themselves. Prices have again risen by USD 50/mt and have reached USD 1,900/mt FOB India for for chickpeas, 42-44 (12 mm).
