Dried apricots: artificial shortage drives prices up

MALATYA. According to reports from Turkey, the price increases continue - this applies to both commodity and export prices, for which there are now some offers again. Meanwhile, a few wholesalers are creating artificial shortages that are preventing price reductions.

Exporters cancel contracts

Turkish market players report that farmgate prices are still rising daily and now amount to TRY 45-50/kg. Nevertheless, some exporters are now daring to quote cautious export prices again - but uonly for prompt shipments and also only for small quantities in order to prevent larger losses.
