MALATYA. Whereas as pre-Ramadan demand continuous to boom in the Arab countries, demand is very subdued in Western Europe.

Prices are frozen

The frost has not produced any damages in Turkey so far and the prices remain stable at last week’s level. Although temperatures below freezing have not been forecasted for the next few days, they are expected to drop to 0°C over the weekend. If the apricots remain unaffected by frost after their early bloom it is well possible that prices will drop at the end of April or beginning of May.
