Dried apricots: low export target in Malatya

MALATYA. Despite the total wipeout of this year’s dried apricot production, exports are still up and running. Ambitions are relatively low. Saffron is becoming the new alternative for producers.

Exports still possible despite total loss

According to forecasts the weather will be cooler than last week in Malatya with temperatures ranging at -1-2C (30-36F) at night and 5-6C (41-43F) throughout the day. There are no changes in the market and things will remain calm for a long time to come. Yet, exports are still up and running.
