MALATYA. Some market players reckon that the economic situation in Turkey will not improve even after the local elections at the end of March. This will also affect trade.

The calm before the storm?

Many suppliers can only dream of storing raw materials in order to protect themselves against price increases and offer customers long-term contracts. Loans are only available, if at all, with hefty interest rates. Anyone intending to make provisions requires considerable equity capital. The unstable economic and political situation in Turkey overshadows everything. Not all traders expect the situation to improve after the elections.
