Dried apricots: exports are impressive

MALATYA. The chairman of the Malatya Commodity Exchange, Ramazan Özcan, explained that the current export season has been very satisfactory so far. The outlook for the new crop is also promising.

100,000 mt as export target

The export season for dried apricots, which started on 1 August 2021, has been very satisfactory for Turkish exporters so far. In February alone, 5,797 mt of dried apricots from Malatya were sold for a total of USD 28.8 million. Ramazan Özcan, chairman of the Malatya Commodity Exchange, said that market players are very satisfied with this result.
