MALATYA. The upcoming Ramadan is driving Turkish dried apricot exports on a massive scale. The weather conditions are still very promising, but March will prove to be decisive.

Eagerly awaiting March

As in recent weeks, growers from the Turkish apricot-growing regions are reporting that the weather conditions are excellent. Night temperatures are between -3°C and 0°C and climb up to 11°C during the day.

Arrivals on the markets are lower at the moment, as farmers are often unable to deliver their produce due to snowfall and the cold.
