Dried apricots: Flowering has been delayed

MALATYA. Cold temperatures have delayed flowering. At the same time, the supplies of large dried apricots are running low, prompting prices to rise.

Nominal price corrections

Late flowering also has a decisive advantage since frosty temperatures currently have no impact. Market participants reckon that the demand for fresh apricots and grapes from Turkey will be very good this year, which will in turn have an impact on dried fruit production. Ramadan has as ever boosted domestic demand, while the rest export market is relatively quiet.
