MALATYA. Farmers are facing various difficulties on the Turkish apricot market. Prices have risen slightly due to the cold in Malatya, still exports are continuing at a rapid pace.

Cold causes prices to rise

Temperatures in Malatya, Turkey's most important apricot-growing region, remain very low at 0°C during the day and as low as -8°C at night. This has led to an increase in commodity prices of TRY 5-10/kg, which is already reflected in the export prices of some suppliers.
