MALATYA. So far, Turkish farmers have reported perfect weather conditions for the apricot blossom - but this can change very quickly, which is why caution is still advised. Prices have stabilised for the time being.

It all depends on the weather

The apricot trees in the Turkish valleys are now in full bloom, while at higher altitudes it can still take up to two weeks before the trees enter the flowering phase. The weather has changed from snow to rainfall this week, which is favourable for the development of the fruit – farmers are talking about ideal conditions so far, but caution is still required as the weather conditions can change again within a very short time.
