Dried apricots: New risks for the new crop

MALATYA. This year’s dried apricot is expected to be of excellent quality. The downside, however, is that the supply of industrial apricots should be lower, which will drive up prices.

 

Drying phase is decisive

Over the next few days, local rain and hail showers are expected in Turkey. In general, the production prospects are highly promising both in terms of quality and quantity. Possible damages may, however, occur throughout the drying phase.
