MALATYA. The record-breaking production of dried apricots in Turkey this year turns dried fruits into an export hit. Russian importers are particularly enthusiastic.

One difference remains
The prices for Turkish No. 2 dried apricots have settled at a level of 3,200 USD/mt – 3,400USD/mt FOB Mersin and should remain there for the time being. The market is largely calm, and there are hardly any new orders from Western European buyers. The situation with the Russian importers is quite different. They happily buy the small dried fruits, which are particularly abundant in the market this year.
