MALATYA. The upcoming Ramadan festivities have considerably boosted buying interest in Arab countries; both Turkish exporters and farmers are very satisfied with the current situation. Exports are still going well.

Numerous contracts signed

Market players in the Turkish dried apricot market are currently very satisfied. Farmers report that the weather conditions in the growing regions are still excellent, with lots of rain, snow and cool temperatures of 4-6°C during the day and down to -4°C at night. Exporters, meanwhile, say that demand from Arab countries has picked up noticeably since last week as suppliers there stock up for Ramadan. A large number of contracts have been concluded for prompt shipments.
