MALATYA. As supplies of small dried apricots are running low in Turkey the market is starting to panic. Traders are busy stocking up before prices rise even further.

Ramadan sales start

Countries in the Middle East such as Egypt, Algeria and Morocco and Tunisia are slowly starting to make purchases for Ramadan, which will take place from 23 April till 23 May. Consumers in these countries generally prefer smaller and cheaper dried apricots. Since supplies for these sizes are very much limited in Turkey traders are panicking.
